Silver runs out long before your ambitions do, and a second city on a silver tile is how most players fix it. Silver alt accounts in Total Battle work best as a ring of silver cities that caravan into one bank account every week, parked in clans that let them collect chests without meeting norms, kept at G3 guardsmen with tier 7 specialists so a single epic hit pays out in full, and grown to level 30 mansions without spending money.
What is a silver alt account for?
For a mid-tier player it is a silver supply. For a high-tier player it is a bank and a Clash for the Throne tool, because by tier 9 the silver itself matters less than what the alts let your main account do.
| Role | What it is | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Silver city | An alt built for silver production | Produces silver all week and caravans it to the bank |
| Bank | Your strongest alt, in the middle of the others | Holds the silver, and doubles as the target for CP runs and citadel-trick withdrawals |
One high-tier setup uses a former seasonal account of about a billion might as the bank. Every other alt sits around it, produces silver, and caravans to it once a week. The main account then takes silver from the bank when it needs it, not from each city in turn.
How do you set up a bank city?
Put the most powerful alt in the centre of the others, route every weekly caravan to it, and decide which of its two jobs you want it for.
- Withdrawals. When the main account runs low, attack the bank through a citadel swap instead of paying caravan tax. The Citadel trick covers the march timing and why the bank must sit outside your clan.
- CP runs for Clash for the Throne. Elite clans require a senate badge every Clash for the Throne, and when there is no Shadow Invasion that means attacking players. Spend the silver from the silver cities on Crorax for the bank, then run a CP run from your main against your own bank every Clash for the Throne. One player ranks in every Clash for the Throne this way.
The second job also keeps you on one hero. Hunting other players for the badge tempts you into switching to a hero built for it and back again, and the hidden hero swap fee makes that round trip expensive. A bank you can hit on demand lets you stay on the hero you prefer.
How do you get an alt into a clan without meeting the norms?
Offer the clan something worth more than a roster slot. Two deals have worked, and neither cost the alt anything.
- Win a clan incentive. Some clans run one: the member with the most chest points that week earns a slot for a silver city, no strings attached. The alt joins, ignores the norms, and collects chests. One player rotated every one of their silver cities through such a slot at least once, a couple of them twice, and each came out with a lot of gold.
- Trade CP runs for a slot. As a tier 9 player, offer a mid-tier clan in your kingdom free CP runs against you, on one condition: one of your alts joins, meets no norms, and sits there collecting chests. A CP run costs the host billions of silver in troops, so the clan is getting the better end of it. Cycle a different alt in each month.
When the mid-tier clan runs the CP run against your main, the alt in that clan brings its own army and joins in. It collects the run's chests and grows without the main lifting a finger.
Which troops should a silver alt train?
G3 guardsmen only, and specialists as high as you can take them. Do not raise the guardsman tier just because you can.
The reason is how epic monsters score you. Your points scale with the size of your guardsmen, so an alt with small G3 guardsmen and tier 7 specialists hits an epic once and collects every reward on offer. A higher guardsman tier would only raise the bar.
The alts in this setup finished at tier 7 specialists and G3 guardsmen, and that is where they stay. The troop types guide covers what specialists are and why they train on the same silver and food as guardsmen.
How big does a silver city need to be?
Big enough to produce silver worth caravanning, which in practice means at least level 30 mansions across the city. A silver alt still has to be grown; the chests and CP runs are what pay for that growth.
- Level 30 mansions everywhere as the minimum.
- A silver tile under the city. The new player guide lists silver tiles with bonuses of up to 60% as the placement for an alt or silver farm.
- No real money. The alts in this setup were grown to tier 7 specialists and G3 guardsmen with level 30 mansions without spending a single dollar, on clan chests and CP-run rewards alone.
Where to start
Build one alt on a silver tile, get its mansions to 30, and keep its guardsmen at G3 while its specialists climb. Then find it a clan: win the incentive if yours runs one, or offer a mid-tier clan free CP runs for the slot. Add a second alt only once the first is caravanning silver you actually use, and make the strongest of them the bank the others feed.
