Season Kingdom hands you three days of Rapid Development and a Ragnarok on day two, and most players spend both on buildings. The Season Kingdom Ragnarok strategy in Total Battle is the opposite: hit Fenrir non-stop while Rapid Development keeps revives at 3,000 gold, spend the Valor Points on research, never touch the Ragnarok coins, and cash them in one event later for G5, G6 and tier 9 mercenaries.
What is the Season Kingdom Ragnarok strategy?
It is a banking loop: farm Ragnarok as hard as Rapid Development allows, hold every coin, and spend only once the shop has refreshed to your new guardsman tier. One account ran it in the June 2026 season and went from G3 to G6 with tier 9 mercenaries inside two Ragnaroks, holding 546 million Fenrir coins for the third.
| When | What you do |
|---|---|
| Day 1, Rapid Development active | Buy Rapid Development, push the capital to level 24, every other building to 24, academy stays at 19, train armies, start hitting |
| Ragnarok #1 (day 2) | Hit Fenrir until you are almost out of gold, spend the Valor Points on research, spend zero coins |
| Rapid Development ends | Cash the banked Valor Points into G5 |
| Ragnarok #2 | Spend Valor Points for G6, buy tier 9 mercenaries, fill the Fenrir coin page in about 20 hits, spend zero coins |
| Ragnarok #3 | The shop has refreshed to G6: buy all 150 Valor Point items and unlock G7 |
The reason it belongs to Season Kingdom is the calendar. In the regular kingdom Ragnarok runs roughly once a month, so banked coins sit idle for weeks. In Season Kingdom the event comes round about once a week, so the payoff from holding your coins arrives while the season is still being decided. The underlying mechanic is the same one the Ragnarok upgrade trick relies on: the event scores you at the tier you started it with, and the shop only refreshes to your new tier at the next Ragnarok.
What should you buy at the start of Season Kingdom?
Rapid Development and the first small sale boxes. This strategy assumes you spend something in seasonal, because Rapid Development is what makes the whole loop work.
- Rapid Development. Revives cost about a tenth of normal and armies train without speed-ups for three days.
- The first sale boxes at 6.99, 12.99 and 24.99 (Canadian dollars; prices differ by region). Between them they paid out nearly a million gold and 50 Cleopatra fragments, and Cleopatra came with mercenaries.
That gold is what funds the revives. Nearly a million gold at 3,000 per revive is hundreds of Fenrir hits before the window closes.
How do you use the Rapid Development window?
Use all three days without exception, keep the academy at level 19, and get the capital to 24 before anything else. The window is about attacking, not building, so every upgrade you make has to serve the attacks.
- Capital to level 24 first. Do whatever it takes. Then take every other building to 24 and build as many farms as you can.
- Stop the academy at level 19. Do not upgrade it until Rapid Development has expired, however ready you feel.
- Train armies immediately. No speed-ups and no resource purchases are needed. Start hitting Fenrir with the mercenaries straight away.
- Spend Valor Points on research. Use the points from Fenrir to complete every research line that does not require academy level 20. When a line tells you it needs level 20, stop that line and move to the next.
- Keep hitting until you are almost out of gold. Hit with tier 2 or tier 3 squads, depending on where you placed in the Dawn of the Season. Do not stop.
- Run the special tournaments every two hours. They pay a lot of Valor Points and help the clan.
Step 4 is the one that costs players the most when they skip it. Once Rapid Development is over, every research you left unfinished has to be bought with speed-ups.
The revive numbers are the whole argument. During Rapid Development one revive of the attacking army cost 3,000 gold. One hit after the window expired, the same revive cost 39,000 gold. Ten attacks for the price of one, for three days.
Why should you not spend Ragnarok coins during the event?
Because the same coins buy far more one event later, when the shop has refreshed to the tier you unlock in between. During Ragnarok #1 you spend nothing: no dragon coins, no Valor Points, no XP, nothing.
The temptation is real: the store is open, the coins are earned, and every Valor Point item is sitting there. Hold them anyway.
The shop only moves up to your new tier at the next event. Spend during this one and you buy from the old tier's shop. Wait for the refresh and the same coins buy every Valor Point item in the new one.
How do you cash in at the next Ragnarok?
Unlock the tier the moment Rapid Development ends, then let the next Ragnarok hand you the mercenaries that fill the coin page.
- When Rapid Development expires, the Valor Points banked from Fenrir and the two-hourly tournaments were enough for G5. Collect the help clicks one by one and finish the unlock.
- When Ragnarok #2 starts, cash the remaining Valor Points into G6. On this run it was a little short, so a few extra Fenrir hits topped it up.
- G6 unlocks tier 9 mercenaries in the store. Buy them.
- The event still scores you as G5, because that was your tier when it started. With tier 9 mercenaries hitting at G5 rates, about 20 hits collected every coin available on the Fenrir page: 546 million.
- Hold those coins for Ragnarok #3. The shop refreshes to G6 and offers 150 Valor Point items. Buy all of them and G7 is paid for.
The loop then repeats one tier up. Unlock G7 before the following Ragnarok and the refreshed shop pays for G8. The tier cost table shows why that matters: each tier costs roughly ten times the one before, so a banked event is worth more every time you climb.
One warning for competitive seasons: the top 100 placements for G7 and G8 fill up, and elite clans set deadlines for reaching them. Plan the loop so your cash-in Ragnarok lands before the deadline, not after.
Frequently asked questions
Does this work outside Season Kingdom?
Yes, but slowly. Ragnarok runs about once a month in the regular kingdom, so a three-event loop takes a quarter of a year instead of three weeks. The banking logic is identical; only the waiting changes.
Why stop the academy at 19?
The advice is flat: you just don't, until Rapid Development has expired. The effect is that every research line below the academy level 20 gate gets finished with Valor Points inside the window, and the academy upgrade itself waits. Once the window closes the academy has to catch up with the tier you are unlocking; in the regular kingdom that is academy 25 for G5 and 30 for G6, per the tier requirements table. The buildings guide covers what the academy and capital each unlock.
What do the tier 9 mercenaries do that my own troops cannot?
Hit hard enough to clear the Fenrir coin page in about 20 attacks while the event is still scoring you at G5. The troop types guide explains why mercenaries are the right unit to spend on epic monsters and why they expire if you sit on them.
What to do on day one
Buy Rapid Development, set the capital to 24 and the academy to stop at 19, then open Ragnarok and start hitting. Every coin you earn over the next three days is a tier you unlock two events from now. The one rule to remember: the shop only refreshes once you have upgraded, so the coins are worth nothing until then and everything after.
